Firstly, let me express how proud and honored I am to be chosen as your Club Captain for 2012 season It gives me great pleasure to welcome you for what I trust will be an enjoyable season ahead and a successful season for all.
I would like to thank an behalf of the Club our Past Captain Mr Bill Hood for his excellent representation of the Club this past year and also to congratulate Mr Dave Allen on becoming your Vice Captain.
West Hoyle is a fantastic golf club to be a member of with its friendly atmosphere. But a club is only as good as its members and it is only with the ongoing support of you the members to competition days and social events that the cluband its committee provide that will continue to move the club forward successfully into the future.
The Captain's drive in takes place 1st light on Sunday 25th March 2011 and I look forward to seeing you all there. The Club's annual day out will be at West Derby GC on Friday 20th July and I hope as many of you can join me on what I know will be a memorable day for all.
Captains Day will be on Sunday 22nd July.
May I also mention he two challenge days we have in our calender: The Irby Challenge May 27th and the Ryder Cup Challenge Septmber 30th which I hope you will all support.
This years Captains Charity will be the ??????? charity and for anyone not hitting the 1st Fairway they will be asked to donate 50p to the charity botle held behind the bar.
Hopefully we wil have a year of good weather to enjoy our golf and with drainage improvements hopefully have less course-closed days.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Commitee in advance for heir excellent work, time and thier committment which is essential to the continuing well being of the club.
