Firstly, let me express how proud and honored I am to be your Captain for 2009.
The Captain's "drive -in" takes place 1st light Sunday the 29th March 2009 and I look forward to seeing you all there.
This year, as many of you know is the clubs 70th anniversary. To celebrate the occasion and in conjunction with the club's annual day out, I am very pleased say that the venue will be the Vale of Llangollen G.C. on Friday 10th July.
For those that have played it before, you will know that this course is very well presented and should prove to be well suited for what I know will be a memorable day for all.
This years charity will be the McMillans Nurses Cancer Appeal and anyone hitting a tee shot to a bunker on the 10th hole will be asked to donate 50p to the charity bottle held behind the bar
We are long overdue better weather. I know bad weather has interrupted our fixture lists over the last couple of years, but lets hope for sunny or at the very least , dry days.
With this in mind can you all be aware that changes could be made to the competition schedule if inclement weather does has an adverse impact and please keep an eye on the Notice Board
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee in advance for their excellent work, time and their commitment which is essential to the continuing well being of the club.
